"My refund did come through in the end…"
My refund did come through in the end, it just took longer than I thought it would. I remember checking my account while eating a weirdly floppy gas station hot dog, which is probably why the wait stuck in my head. Not a huge issue, just slower than expected.

"Box was in rough shape"
The camera showed up and works fine, so that part was okay, but the packaging was disappointing. The box was all banged up and there really wasn’t much padding or anything inside. For what this costs, I expected a bit more care with that kind of stuff. I’m glad it wasn’t damaged, but it would make me think twice about ordering lenses from Ted’s again.

"After-sales support left me drained"
The after-sales support was useless. Once the sale was done, I couldn’t really get any help, and dealing with it just left me feeling mentally drained.

"Business purchasing felt harder than it should"
I tried to buy this for my business, but something felt off from the start. The options were confusing, and I couldn’t find clear help for getting an invoice or figuring out the proper business checkout process. After poking around for a while, I just gave up and went with another company.

"Their passport photo guarantee didn’t mean much"
I got my passport photos done here because they made it sound like everything would be accepted with no hassle. Then I uploaded them online and they got rejected. I went back expecting them to fix it, but the staff basically just shrugged it off like it wasn’t their problem. Frustrating when the service doesn’t match what they promise. Total waste of time, and I won’t be using them again

"Am I the only one who finds their payment options frustrating?"
Am I the only one who got completely put off by the payment process? I was trying to buy a camera, but the finance and payment options were such a hassle. I kept getting bounced around, and the checkout didn’t really explain things clearly. For something that expensive, I expected the whole payment side to be a lot smoother. In the end, I just gave up and bought it somewhere else.

"Scans were sorta disappointing"
I dropped off a roll to get processed, and the scans came back looking sorta rough. The colors were weird, there were a lot of dust marks, and a few frames even looked scratched. It also took longer than they originally told me. The staff were okay, so I don’t want to be too harsh, but the actual film service just didn’t feel worth the money for me

"Gift card was way more hassle than it should’ve been"
I tried using the gift card online and it barely worked, which was really frustrating. Every time I ran into an issue, it felt like nobody wanted to take ownership or actually help fix it. I kept getting passed around, and something that should’ve been simple turned into a whole annoying process

I went in hoping to get some advice on picking out a camera, but I left feeling more confused than when I walked in. The staff didn’t seem to know much beyond what was already written on the tag, and the whole interaction felt rushed. What bothered me most was that I felt a bit talked down to when I asked questions, like I should’ve already known the answers. I ended up going home, doing my own research online, and buying from somewhere else. Disappointing overall...

"Ted’s photography course was a bit of a letdown"
I did a photography course through Ted’s and yeah... I was disappointed. I went in expecting something a bit more practical or in-depth, but a lot of it felt really basic, like the kind of stuff I’d already watched for free on YouTube. The pace was kind of odd too, somehow slow in parts but then rushed in others.
I did ask a couple of questions, hoping to get more specific advice, but the feedback wasn’t very useful. For what it cost, I thought there’d be more hands-on help or at least a bit more personal guidance. I don’t think I’d book another course with them.

The camera itself worked fine and did what I needed, but the pickup process took way longer than I expected. I thought it would be quick since I’d already booked, but the staff seemed a bit unsure about the reservation. Overall, it was okay, just not as smooth as I hoped.

"I ordered a camera bag, but what…"
I ordered a camera bag, but what showed up was a random set of filters. Not even close to what I needed. I kept checking the order just to make sure I hadn’t clicked the wrong thing, but nope, it clearly said camera bag. Super frustrating because I needed the bag, not filters, and now I have to deal with returning this stuff. Really annoying, really inconvenient, and just a waste of time.

"Wouldn't order these prints again"
I ended up really disappointed with these prints. They came out blurry and the colors looked dull, so the photos just didn’t look anything like I expected.

I traded in some old gear and, to be fair, the price they offered was reasonable. I wasn’t expecting top money for used stuff anyway, so I can’t really complain on that side.
